"Once upon a time, an egg hatched. But instead of being a bird, it was a Pettyartist. The birds got mad at her, but then she was saved by a wizard. They then flew off into Hogwarts where Pettyartist was raised as a Ravenclaw (since she was almost a bird) until she found her true calling was Hufflepuff. The end."

Lizzard, Get the 1962 version with Robert Preston in it though. I watched the 2003 one with Matthew Broderick and didn’t feel the same ‘musical magic’ as I did with the 62 version

Wow— I didn’t even know they made a remake.  :0

Ah well, while I’m pretty cool with Matthew Broderick, he’s not the person I would have chose for a remake of the musical, since the main character’s supposed to be a smooth-talker and ultra-charismatic.

Broderick is more of a nervous-type character, like how he was in The Producers remake.

The only time he was really good at being suave was in Ferris Bueler’s Day Off, imo.

  3. crazypercheron said: Yeah, disney did make a remake of the Music Man, but I felt it was more focused on acting (which they did do a pretty good job on it) than the Musical Scores. And Matthew just had a very quiet and monotone voice throughout the whole film so yeah.
