Ok, I knew it was going to be offensive, but I didn’t realize how BLATANTLY offensive it was going to be.

Not only is he attacking the LGBT community, he’s using Christianity as his sword for this crusade.

And he’s using that sword incorrectly. He’s practically got the blade in his hand and is trying to stab people with the hilt.

He just needs to get it through his head that America is NOT a Christian nation.

YES we were founded on Christian morals and ideas.

YES God is included in many of our nation’s most powerful mantras, speeches and documents.

NO this is not a nation that should be trying to force Christianity down your throat.

While I am a Christian and I believe in my faith- we are not supposed to be turning into 18th century England. I support separation of church and state for a REASON.

A government seat is not supposed to be used as a soapbox for your own personal beliefs and for you to try to force them on others. You use that seat to try and serve the people as their voice as best as possible. You need to see everything with an open mind and to make decisions based on what is best for the area you represent.

While nothing is wrong with a politician believing in a religion, you often see it in the forefront of their arguments and in the media way too much. It’s like a big badge they wear on their chest so as to attract attention. Whatever happened to humility? That’s a Christian moral that seems to be swept under a rug far too often.

I almost wish I had SOME way or was prepared enough to actually enter into the government to be a stronger voice for the people.
