EXCITING NEWS!

So I went out to walk George and realized I needed a net for my fish because I was going to change out half their water today.  So I mosied on over to Petco to get it.  While I was there, I bought some brine shrimp as a treat for my guppies and that skeleton aquarium ornament, because I thought they might like that.  :>

So I hang around a little bit because I didn’t want George to bug anyone at the counter, and as I approach the hiring manager is up there.

She turns to me and goes:

Manager: CHRISTINA!  I’m SO glad you’re here!  I lost your phone number!

Me: Oh!  I can give that to you, if you need it!

Manager: That’d be great.  -prints a blank receipt- …ACTUALLY… are you free tomorrow around 3?

Me: Yeah, totally.

Manager: Awesome— would you be able to come in around then?  I can give you an interview.  Since we’ve talked so much already it should be a really quick one, just a formality.

Me: Awesome!  Yeah, I can totally come in tomorrow.

Manager: GREAT!  Oh!  And make sure you bring your social security card and your photo ID in case we make a decision right there!

Me: I will, thank you!

So I was pretty pumped— and then the cashier had to go help a guy get feeder crickets so the manager went to ring me out.

Manager: -looking at what I’m buying- I’m assuming you own fish already?

Me: Yep!  Three guppies.

Manager: That’s actually excellent— what I’m looking to hire you for is actually the fish department- not as a specialist but I need someone who actually knows something about fish care because I know nothing.  And sometimes I find myself here in the evenings and someone needs help and yeah.  

Me: Oh, I have that covered.  I researched a lot before I bought my fish so I know about that sort of thing.

Manager: Excellent- See you tomorrow then!

Me: Alright, bye!

So yeah, I have an interview tomorrow at 3 for the Petco job.
